Woman from a Foreign Land

The curiosity of meeting her. It was not a 'thing' until I knew it could be a thing . One can experience a thousand phenomenons in life and pass them without realizing their presence. When I met a foreigner, it was surreal. Why? Let's have a look. Every culture with its beauty, engulfs a body, beautiful and exotic ready to give an experience. Cultural identity is something, one whenever associated becomes the defining moment of the practices followed. The taste, habits, notions, beliefs, the attached awkwardness and the weird phenomenons form the crux of identity that differentiates it from others. Thus meeting a stranger who speaks a language unknown to us, with an accent we aren't aware of and expressions we cannot understand, is an event which one should enjoy. It was like symphony. One whose theme I could not understand, whose meaning I could not deduce, but continuously intrigued me. Why was I finding it to be a thing of beauty, to be appreciated, I did not know. I

Dive in a Book

Reading a book can be tiresome. Rather it used to be, but now it is exhilarating. My school had an extensive library. Not one but two libraries. One for Junior school and one for middle and senior school students. A library period was always a fun-filled experience for me. As juniors, they showed us documentaries, kids movies and Discovery channel. Reference books and books of Disney characters such as Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel and the like with their shiny glossy paper were the main attractions. Noddy riding on his Toy car in his toy land always amazed me. Ms. Blyton did a fine work.  But why did they do it? They ..my school. What's the purpose behind it? I never realized, until I passed out of school. It was the exposure to such a vast collection that made think. Each book had inside it, a gateway to a world filled with imagination and wondrous creatures.  I was never a critical thinker. I always read and forgot about it as soon as I finished. But was it enough ? T

What I did not Do

Standing near a boiled egg/omelet thela on the outskirts of a vegetarian neighborhood with my chachu. Saw something that irked me. And like all that things that bother me,after i left, i forgot about it.  The thela owner apart from making delicious omelettes and serving the appetites of pseudo non-vegetarians was committing a crime. A crime that is wide spread and happens at every 'gali-koocha' of our neighborhood.  Child Labor. 2 kids around the age of 10-12, employed as helpers to the thela owner. Amazing thing is, the police in their PCR van stops in front of it, and doesn't take a second look at the violation of law taking in presence of public. They came, they ate and went away. I came, i ate and i went away. I made a video recording from my cell phone that presents an evidence of the reality. Should i do something about it? Or should i be a silent cum mute spectator. I am choosing the latter. why? It is convenient. I have my own job to do. With my daily problems to

Emotions & You

Emotions. Sentiments and Hurt. If I were to say these three go hand in hand, my close ones will laugh. They'll say emotions and sentiments all right. But hurt and you? Wrong answer amigo.  Wouldn't that make me inhuman? If I did not get hurt. I think I am more human than anybody else. Why? Let's have a look. I believe in logic. I believe in being rational. I believe there is a button in someone that if they don't turn on nobody can get hurt at any point of time. If being emotional on any day is bad. Then carrying the same sentiment the second day is worse. Emotional are the people who don't have a goal in life. Emotional towards everything. Reserve the emotions for a single entity. Be ambitious. Move On. Damaging oneself is the worst kind of abuse inflicted on yourself. Worse than sexual or substance abuse. Substances cause you physical damage. Hurt and emotions cause mental damage.  There are rehabs for substance abuse. Ever wonder emotional damage has no rehabs?

The WATER'GATE' Scandal

The Richard Nixon story,  It didn't just blow out of nowhere. It was the kind of stuff one would imagine oops! no one could imagine would or could happen. IN USA; just when it was about to celebrate it's bicentenary a president resigned while in office. What does that say. Some nay sayer might add on " hey what does this tell you about the fact that no other country in the world faced such a trauma" or " hey point out any country who's politics is corrupt like that".  So easy. It doesn't feel like anyone knows the context or reference they might be quoting when there is nobody hitherto to question the credibility and raise questions about the implication of that statement. Taking the liberty to dig deeper into the problem, one without any doubt will find answers that might change the way they respond forever. Is there anyone who doesn't know the prevalent corruption that is to be presumed in any contemporary government or in the past? I seriousl

Calculate 'Hope'

Doing something is better than the feeling of regret that entails us by doing nothing. But is that enough? Now one might be the ephemeral picture of satisfaction while picking a choice. And it may not take a lot of time for some. Satisfaction having a different definition for all makes them do activities that leap from simple to quantum levels. Many of the idioms I would say are the picture of innocence. Why? Because it shows the parent pacifying his kid by handing a lollipop of a saying. Beta be satisfied. When on the other side. The parent is working his ass off and is presenting a stark contradiction to its own statement.  Motif! I would say is the best judge of on's efforts that keeps its detractor away from the deniability or any doubt. Not only does it give an explanation but a clear motive presents a goal to start on a path. Motives are I would sometimes based on a lot of hope. And in that case hope over-rides motive. But there is a thin line in between. A man came out with
