A Man and A Woman ..

Woman from a Foreign Land fidgets with; an ebony black phone
Among hustling crowd some with lot of clout; she sits alone

Sitting on a chair, bag at her side she is on a vacation
Stuck in memories of past forming cage so vast; full of beration

A man wearing suede shoes, immaculate and full of youth
Comes near her and asks; 
May I sit beside you mam, 
You speak I'll hear you; If you need a dear Friend to talk

Carriage full of courage, the man had in him; a part of heaven the girl's face seemed
She has trapped me in a cage he writes in his mind and says; 
Help me God how lovely is She

With a calculated hope, thinks there is some scope; he starts speaking the language of love
Or a scandal would it be to touch or feel her face; gleaming as though of a Dove
Musters up his courage he moves forward; rest what happened please don't Ask.
Now those two were 'Us', he was born for this indeed; as friends or lovers determining isn't our task

The Phone Call

Tring ! Tring ! After 2 seconds ... Tring ! Tring ! Tring ! The phone rang loudly but nobody picked it up. It had been lying like it had been last night. Alone, cold on the floor above the mattresses spread for a man to sleep. The man was the father. A father of two people both in adulthood, with a son and a daughter. The children and their mother and father all lived in a two bed room apartment. The apartment also has a kitchen, two balconies a staircase to lead any visitor up on to the terrace and down towards the ground floor. The phone in its standby mode lay peacefully in bliss on the third and top most floor of an establishment which is over 20 years old.
